The film not only honors the legacy of the beloved franchise with breathtaking visuals, but also dares to ask a deeper question: who truly understands the meaning of humanity?

The world premiere of Tron: Ares lit up Los Angeles last night, and the verdict is clear: this is a sensory spectacle that demands to be experienced on the biggest screen possible.
Forget the human traveling into the digital realm. In Tron: Ares, the premise is reversed: Ares (Jared Leto), a cutting-edge AI program, is sent into our world. Alongside programmer Eve Kim (Greta Lee), he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that forces him to question his own coding. As producer Justin Springer puts it, Ares’ mission is to realize that he might have “more humanity than the human who created him.”
With stunning visuals, Tron: Ares delivers an action-packed experience highlighted by a jaw-dropping light cycle chase on a real-world freeway, one of the most electrifying sequences in recent cinema thanks to its seamless fusion of practical and digital effects.
The experience is further elevated by Nine Inch Nails’ thunderous score. Their industrial, pulsing sound doesn’t just set the tone, it becomes an essential character, shaping the film’s dark, brooding atmosphere. But beyond the audiovisual spectacle, the film challenges the audience, raising powerful questions about technology, greed, and what it truly means to have purpose.

The Premiere: A Futuristic Party
And when the credits rolled, the night was far from over. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into a massive dance floor with a live concert from Nine Inch Nails. The most surreal moment? Tesla robots mingling with the crowd, an on-the-nose metaphor for the story we had just witnessed.
Final Verdict
Despite a few predictable story beats, Tron: Ares is a must-see cinematic event. It’s a film designed to be experienced with the volume cranked up and on the biggest screen you can find. If you’re a fan of sci-fi, action, and thought-provoking storytelling, don’t wait for streaming this one is worth the theater trip.
