The elegant SLS Hotel, a symbol of refinement and sophistication in Beverly Hills, hosted the highly anticipated Hollywood edition of the Tudo Para Brasileiros awards on the evening of May 15th. Originating in Orlando, Florida, two years ago, the event has become one of the premier showcases for honoring Brazilian professionals and companies who stand out in the competitive U.S. market.
Conceived by Gero and Thays Bonini, with strategic support from businesswoman Thais Eliasen, owner of the T.PR, the award recognized around 70 individuals who are redefining standards of excellence in areas such as entertainment, services, retail, gastronomy, wellness, technology and communications. For Thais, being honored at an event in Los Angeles, the epicenter of the global creative industry, was the fulfillment of a dream: “It’s a privilege to be recognized by the Brazilian community for the work I do in the American market.”
A True Red Carpet Experience
Guests were welcomed in an intimate lounge area. Colorful lights and dramatic contrasts created a vibrant atmosphere perfect for celebration and socializing.
Two exclusive bars served a variety of drinks and cocktails created especially for the occasion, further enhancing the sensory experience of the evening. All of this unfolded to the sound of a live violinist performing classics from jazz, bossa nova and other engaging rhythms.
Next to the lounge, the award ceremony took place alongside a refined dinner, served with precision in a classically decorated banquet room.
Stories of Resilience and Inspiration
The highlight of the evening was the acceptance speeches. Among the honorees were influencer Karen Kardasha, actress Zilu Camargo, Liliana Pérez who serves as the Cultural Affairs Director for the Los Angeles Chargers, photographer Marcos Daniel Ferreira and many other and prominent guests. One by one, honorees took the stage to share journeys filled with courage, resilience, and faith in the American dream. Though each story was unique, they all shared a deep pride in being Brazilian and in the daily effort to turn challenges into achievements.
Immigration attorney Dr. Gisele Ambrósio, a leading figure in her field, spoke passionately about her role in the lives of Brazilian artists, athletes and entrepreneurs seeking to build careers in the United States. “This award is recognition for helping bring Brazilian talent to the U.S.”
Verônica Mira, finance and HR director at Açaí Republic, inspired the audience by sharing the success of her network, which now includes 33 stores across the United States. “It’s not just about selling açaí. It’s about transforming lives. We’ve seen employees become business owners and franchisees.”

Entertainment journalist Jana Nagase, who covers Hollywood events, also felt honored to receive the award. “As an entertainment journalist and film critic, this recognition is very important to my journey in the industry and within the Brazilian community here.”
Black belt Rodrigo Freitas, owner of Inspirit Jiu Jitsu, captured the spirit of the evening while reflecting on his 16-year journey in the U.S. He emphasized that the award is important because it acknowledges all the obstacles and challenges he overcame to succeed with his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy.

The Power of Brazil Transforming The World
The Tudo Para Brasileiros Awards in Hollywood was far more than a night of tributes. It was a celebration of the transformative presence of Brazilians on the international stage. It highlighted professionals who elevate industry standards while embodying values like determination, innovation, professionalism and, above all, the unmistakable charisma of a people who know how to leave their mark wherever they go.
In every round of applause, every speech and every tear-filled gaze, there was proof that when Brazil crosses borders, it doesn’t just participate… It leads the way.
